A new corporate-actions platform for a global markets group

We replaced manual, spreadsheet-driven corporate-actions processing with a reliable, auditable, event-driven platform — for a global financial-markets infrastructure and exchange group.

The challenge

Corporate actions — dividends, splits, mergers, rights issues — were processed through manual, spreadsheet-driven workflows across thousands of securities. The process was slow, hard to audit, and carried real financial and reputational risk: a single missed or mis-keyed event could affect settlement for many counterparties.

Our approach

We designed an event-driven processing engine that ingests corporate-action notifications over industry-standard messaging, normalises them into a single canonical model, and drives them through validation, enrichment, election, and approval with a complete audit trail.

  • Ingestion of ISO 15022 / ISO 20022 (SWIFT) messages, normalised into a canonical event model.
  • A configurable rules engine for validation, enrichment, and election handling, with four-eyes approval.
  • Automated reconciliation against custodian and depository feeds to catch discrepancies early.
  • Full, immutable audit trail for every event and every decision, built for regulatory scrutiny.
  • An operations dashboard giving analysts real-time visibility and exception-based workflows.
